Welcome to Bradgate u3a
The University of the Third Age is an Independent, National Organisation with Groups spread throughout the Country and indeed the World. It aims to provide opportunities for those who are no longer in full time gainful employment to share skills, knowledge and hobbies with other like minded people.
Often people are put off by the title "University" expecting this to mean formal learning, tests and diplomas. Not so, the word "University" is used in its original sense of a body of people who come together to share knowledge. At present we have 26 Interest Groups and many of these are by no means "Academic". Please see the "Groups" page for more information.
Bradgate u3a was established in September 2008 in Anstey to serve the surrounding villages of Newtown Linford, Cropston, Thurcaston, Rothley, Glenfield and Groby.

Monthly Meeting are held on the first Wednesday of each Month in the Savoy Room at Jubilee Hall, Stadon Road, Anstey. We serve tea and coffee from 2.00pm and the meeting formally commences at 2.30pm. There are usually invited speakers who give talks on a wide variety of subjects. Visitors are welcome to attend but on the third visit (to any group or main meeting) you will be expected to become a fully paid up member of Bradgate u3a. A link to the membership application form is provided below for you to printout.
