The group meets to enjoy a couple of games each week during the summer season, weather permitting, on a prepared lawn area on the Millfield Playing Field.

Two forms of the traditional game are played, with usually two matches in each session. These matches are played in a spirit of friendly rivalry rather than strictly competitive, and all the equipment is provided.

New Members are always welcome and are given tuition on the game. Therefore "lack of skill" is no bar to membership of this group. If you are not sure just turn up and give it a go.
