The members of this group bring along a variety of different sewing/knitting projects (many having been languishing in a cupboard for far too long!) with them to these meetings and also enjoy a good natter. Hence the group is also known as the "Knit and Natter Group".
Susan Marlow and other members of the Dry Crafts Group have been using their time at goup meetings, as well as knitting at home, to make childrens garments for charity. Yarn for these garments having been donated to the group from various sources.
Over 40 garments (some of which are pictured here) where then sent to the charity Inter CareCare, their mission being to save lives and alleviate suffering in sub-Saharan Africa. The charity sent a lovely letter to acknowledge the donation and the members of the group are feeling rightly proud of their efforts.
