New Age Kurling is the ice-free version of the Curling you see on TV, with the heavy granite stones replaced by a moulded plastic body mounted on large ball bearings.

You can cast your stone from the traditional one knee position, a standing position or standing with the aid of a push stick. This makes the group open to most members and everyone is welcome to come and give it a try.

Those attending are divided into two teams with the competition being boisterous but fun and well meant.

No refreshments are provided, but members are welcome to bring their own drinks. The group often goes to The Nook Corner Cafe afterwards to discuss the game and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
